The Medical Ethics Committee of Shenzhen Samii Medical Center was established in February 2019. The committee independently, efficiently, and with high quality reviews biomedical research projects involving human subjects undertaken by or conducted within the institution. The Medical Ethics Committee has an Ethics Office responsible for the daily administrative affairs of the committee.
In August 2021, a branch ethics committee, the Clinical Trial Ethics Committee, was established. The Clinical Trial Ethics Committee is responsible for the independent, efficient, and high-quality review of drug clinical trials, medical device clinical trials, and in vitro diagnostic reagent clinical trials undertaken by the institution.
